At least it's evening for me right now!
Today I wasn't feeling very well, probably because the food made me feeling sick (Is that already the culture shock of some organs...?) or something like that, and I grabbed the chance to go on a little photo-taking tour while skipping some orientation meetings (sorry not so sorry).
Most of the pictures are pretty selfexplanatory, so today's not that much from my side!

Zumindest ist es jetzt Abend bei mir.
Heute ging es mir nicht so gut, vermutlich weil mein Magen dem Essen hier nicht so wohlgesonnen ist (Ist das schon der Kulturschock einzelner Organe....?) oder so etwas in der Art, und ich habe die Gunst der Stunde genutzt, auf eine Foto-Tour zu gehen, während ich einige Orientation-Treffen geschwänzt habe (Sorry, tut mir gar nicht Leid.)
Der Großteil der Bilder ist ziemlich selbst-erklärend, daher gibt es heute nicht so viel von meiner Seite!
First of all, the different dormitories:Zuerst die unterschiedlichen Wohnheime:
As you might remember, I'm living in Global Village.
Wie ihr euch vielleicht noch erinnern könnt, wohne ich in Global Village.

Global Village[/caption]For all the freshmen in Akita there's a special dormitory with special, very strict rules (like no drinking allowed, neither is visits after 10pm and you have to take the meal plan) for which you can apply, too. But the freshmen are preferred of course. That's because a lot of freshmen in Japan aren't full-aged!
This dormitory is called Komachi Hall, and it's the cheapest one, as elictricity and gas is already included. But you don't have a kitchen, and you have to share the bathroom with three other students.
Für alle Erstsemester in Akita gibt es ein eigenes Wohnheim mit speziellen, sehr strengen Regeln (wie etwa kein Alkohol, man darf nach 22Uhr keinen Besuch mehr bekommen und muss den MealPlan nehmen), für das man sich auch bewerben kann. Wobei die Erstsemster natürlich bevorzugt werden. Das ist so, weil eine Menge Erstsemster in Japan noch gar nicht volljährig sind!
Dieses Wohnheim heißt Komachi Hall und es ist das günstigste von allen, da Strom und Gas bereits enthalten sind. Man hat hier aber keine Küche und muss sich das Bad mit drei anderen Studenten teilen.

Komachi Hall[/caption]lThe next dormitory is University Village. I actually don't have an idea, what's the difference between University Village and Global Village, except I do think, that GV is more beautiful... But decide on your own!
Das nächste Wohnheim wäre dann University Village. Ich weiß eigentlich gar nicht, was der Unterschied zwischen University Village und Global Village ist, mal davon abgesehen, dass ich GV schöner finde... aber entscheidet selbst!

University Village[/caption]I have to admit that I think it's a bit shabby but I just remembered, that the rooms there are a looooot bigger than in GV! And you do have two stove tops, instead of one for us in GV....( I think that's actually pretty hard to cook with!) Not to forget the balcony!
Ich muss gestehen, dass ich finde, es sieht ein wenig schäbig aus, aber mir fiel auch gerade wieder ein, dass die Räume dort um einiges größer sind als in GV! Und man hat ganze zwei Herdplatten, statt nur einer wie wir in GV (Ich glaube das wird noch ziemlich lustig damit zu kochen....) Nicht zu vergessen den Balkon!

University Village[/caption]The remaining of the four dormitories would be Sakura Village, which was built at the beginning of the year and is therefor still really new. You're sharing a small apartement with two other students, but you have your own room. It's the most expensive one as you can imagine, nearly double the prive for UV and GV.
Das letzte der vier Wohnheime ist Sakura Village, das Anfang des Jahres gebaut wurde und daher noch ganz neu und unverbraucht ist. Hier teilt man sich ein kleines Apartement mit zwei anderen Studenten, hat aber einen eigenen Raum. Es ist das teuerste der Wohnheime, wie ihr euch vielleicht denken könnt, fast der doppelte Preis als der von GV und UV!

Sakura Village[/caption]Going on with other parts of the campus in no particular order. Every building has a function, but I don't think you're that interested in it, as it's mostly something to do with classes, etc.
Weiter geht's mit dem restlichen Campus in keiner bestimmten Reihenfolge. Jedes Gebäude hat natürlich seine Funktion, aber ich glaube nicht, dass euch das so sehr interessiert, da es meistens was mit unterschiedlichen Klassen zu tun hat.

Die Vielzwekhalle ist eigentlich ziemlich cool, denn es hat eine Turnhalle im Inneren UND der Rundweg den ihr oben sehen könnt, ist dafür da, um drinnen Laufen zu können. ICH BIN GERETTET ♥
