☆4 Looking forward to

A lot of people asking me, what I'm looking forward to in Japan or what I really like about being there. Kind of difficult question, as I haven't been there for a long time, so the things I experienced are limited, but I collected some things to show you!

Heute einmal eine andere Aufteilung aufgrund der zahlreichen Bilder, ich hoffe, es verwirrt euch nicht zu sehr!
Einige Leute haben mich bereits gefragt, auf was ich mich in Japan freue oder was ich besonders mag, wenn ich dort bin. Das ist eigentlich eine relative schwere Frage, da ich bisher ja noch nicht so lange da war und dementsprechend nicht sehr viel erlebt habe. Dennoch habe ich einiges gesammelt, das ich euch gerne zeigen möchte.

Starting with FOOD. A secret besides; I used to live vegan for the last 5 years and change my diet only because of my year abroad. It's difficult to eat fishless in Japan and I didn't want to put me under pressure to even try it - I knew it's affiliated with a lot of effort. But that limitates the food I enjoy eating as you can imagine.

Beginnen wir mit ESSEN. Nebenbei ein kleines Geheimnis von meiner Seite; Ich war die letzten 5 Jahre Veganerin und habe meine Ernährung nur wegen meines Auslandsaufenthalts umgestellt. Es ist sehr schwer, in Japan ohne Fisch zu leben und ich wollte mich einfach nicht dem Druck aussetzen, es doch um jeden Preise zu probieren. Natürlich schränkt das aber das japanische Essen ein, das ich wirklich gern esse.

All-time favourites are Onigiri. You get them with every filling you can imagine, like different fishs, even plum etc. , but I for one think, the easier ones are the better. Tuna-mayo und chicken-mayo are every time good choices, and the best thing about them is probably that the names are written in katakana so you can read them easily with a bit practice!

Onigiri wereden immer ein Favorit sein! Man bekommt sie mit jedlich denkbarer Fülling, wie etwa verschiedenen Fischsorten oder sogar Pflaume, etc., ich für meinen Teil denke aber, dass die einfacher gehaltenen die besten sind. Thunfisch-Mayonaise oder Huhn-Mayonaise sind immer gute Entscheidungen - das beste an ihnen ist, dass ihre Namen in Katakana geschrieben sind und man sie mit ein wenig Übung sogar lesen kann!

Next thing sounds weird and disgusting for a lot of people; Yakiudonpan (I invented that name no idea if that's the official one sorry!) It really looks strange and it's getting probably even stranger, when I tell you, that the bread-thing is sweet bread (like all bread in Japan) BUT nevertheless that is the thing I'm craving the most at the moment!!! Don't you dare going to Japan without trying it!

Das nächste wird ziemlich verrückt und auch widerlich klingen für viele Leute: Yakiudonpan (Das wird nicht der offizielle Name sein, ich habe ihn gerade erfunden, sorry!) Es sieht wirklich sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig aus und wird wohl noch verrückter, wenn ich euch sage, dass das Brötchen süß ist (wie alles Brotartige in Japan). ABER trotz alle dem ist das das Essen, das ich seit Wochen schon unbedingt essen möchte! Ich liebe es ♡ Wehe ihr geht nach Japan und probiert das nicht!

One thing probably most of you have already heard about Japan, is the invention of bentos there. That are boxes with small portions of different food, mostly eaten for lunch. Most often they're not expensive and the conbinis offer a wide range of different styles of bentos - some of them even warm if you wish so. For strangers it's probably difficult to recognize what all these different parts are, but every bento I've tried was really delicious! Being a bit braver is totally worth here.

Etwas, das die meisten wohl schon über Japan gehört haben, ist die Existenz der Bentos. Das sind Schachteln mit kleinen Portionen von ganz unterschiedlichen Gerichten, die meistens zum schnellen Mittagessen verspeist werden. Der Großteil ist nicht teuer und die Konbinis bieten eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Bentos an - viele werden auf Wunsch auch erwärmt. Für Ausländer wird es teilweise schwer sein zu erkennen, was die einzelnen Komponenten sind, aber alle Bentos die ich probiert haben, waren sehr lecker! Hier lohnt es sich, ein bisschen mutiger sein.

Going on with FASHION. I'm into japanese fashion for a couple of years now and I can't wait to walk around and stalk good-looking people. Most of the people being a bit interested in Japan tend to think, that Harajuku is the it-spot of Japan and for some outrageous styles like Decora and Manba that might be true, but the common fashion sense in Japan differs from the fashion sense in Germany in general and I really enjoy seeing that difference. I do have to add here, that Germany is a country without own style in fashion - sad but true.  I like shopping at La Foret btw. It's featuring some of my favourite brands and the shop assistants are above stylish.

Weiter mit MODE. Ich stehe schon seit Jahren ganz extrem auf japanische Mode und ich kann es kaum erwarten, wieder auf die Suche nach gut aussehenden Menschen zu gehen! Die meisten, die sich ein wenig für Japan interessieren halten Harajuku immer für den IT-Spot in Japan und für manche ausgefallenen Stilrichtungen wie etwa Decora und Manba mag das durchaus wahr sein, aber im Allgemeinen unterscheidet sich der Modegeschmack in Japan sehr von dem in Deutschland. Ich mag es, diesen Unterschied zu sehen. Ich muss hier aber leider auch anführen, dass ich Deutschland im Großen und Ganzen für sehr stillos halte. Ich mag es übrigens sehr, im LaForet zu shoppen, einige meiner Lieblingsmarken sind dort und die Verkäufer und Verkäuferinnen sind mehr als stylisch.

The university I'm going to attend is some hundred kilometers north of Tokyo but before going there, I'm staying in Tokyo for 10 days with some of my closest friends and that's of course one of the things I'm looking forward to the most! Our last 10 days before being separated for one year....
Even better that we're staying in Tokyo, because the thing I probably love most about Japan is the Tokyo Tower! I always get goosebumps when it appears somewhere and I love watching pictures of it. Althoug there is a new tower in Tokyo, that's even higher and everything (the SkyTree), my heart belongs to the Tokyo Tower! ♡

Die Uni auf die ich gehen werde, ist ein paar hundert Kilometer nördlich von Tokyo, aber bevor ich dorthin fahren werde, sind einige meiner besten Freunde und ich für 10 Tage genau dort und das ist natürlich eines der Dinge, auf die ich mich am meisten freue! Unsere letzten 10 gemeinsamen Tage bevor wir für 1 Jahr getrennte Wege gehen...
Umso besser ist, dass wir in Tokyo sind, denn es gibt etwas, das ich vermutlich am meisten an Japan liebe; den Tokyo Tower! Ich bekomme jedes Mal Gänsehaut, wenn er irgendwo auftaucht und ich liebe es, mir Bilder von ihm anzusehen. Obwohl es bereits einen neuen Turm in Tokyo gibt, der natürlich größer und alles ist (der SkyTree), gehört mein Herz einfach dem Tokyo Tower ♡

Last time as I went to Japan, more precisely in Tokyo I lived in Asakusa and this time, I'm staying there again. Asakusa is great to stay if you're in Tokyo! In Asakusa there are some sightseeing spots like the Sensoji (a famous temple that is really beautiful), and it's always good for a stroll.

Als ich das letzte Mal in Japan war, genauer gesagt in Tokyo, habe ich in Asakusa gewohnt und dort werde ich auch dieses Mal wieder bleiben. Asakusa ist sehr gut um zu wohnen, wenn man in Tokyo ist. Es gibt einige Sehenswürdigkeiten wie etwa den Senso-ji (ein berühmter Tempel, der wirklich sehr schön ist) und es ist immer schön für einen kleinen Spaziergang.

Tokyo is not the only city, I've been to in Japan, I also visited a couple of other cities and also I'd love to see some of them again, it's not planned untill now. What I probably gonna see is Kamakura! Kamakura is famous for the "Big Buddha", which is so big, that you can even go inside (not to recommend in the summer, it's freaking hot). But what it's in summer even better; there's a beautiful sand beach in Kamakura and you can actually swim in the sea. It's not that far from Tokyo so it's a nice change from the hot city.

Tokyo ist nicht die einzige Stadt in Japan, in der ich war, ich habe auch einige andere Städte besichtigt und obwohl ich davon viele noch einmal gern besuchen würde, ist das bisher noch nicht geplant. Was ich aber eventuell noch einmal sehen werde, ist Kamakura. Kamakura ist berühmt für den "Großen Buddha", der so groß ist, dass man sogar hineinsteigen kann (Im Sommer nicht zu empfehlen, ist ziemlich warm da drin). Im Sommer ist das zweite Plus der Stadt noch viel besser; Kamakura hat einen wunderschönen Sandstrand und man kann sogar Baden! Es ist nicht so weit von Tokyo, und im Sommer eine großartige abwechslung zur heißen und stickigen Stadt!

You see, there are some things I'm looking forward in particular but all in all, I'm looking forward to get to know new people and to make new experiences!

Ihr seht, es gibt ein paar Dinge, auf die ich mich besonders freue, aber im Großen und Ganzen möchte ich neue Leute kennen lernen und viele Erfahrungen sammeln.
